Mayor Bloomberg’s development initiatives for the Bronx included several large-scale public/private ventures which collectively aim to achieve significant community, city and regional economic development benefits including economic growth and job creation, improved open space, state-of-the-art recreational facilities, new Yankee Stadium, retail developments, enhanced vehicle parking access and increased public transportation.
Crescent Consulting was a subconsultant to AECOM/Tishman Construction JV, which served as Owner’s Representative in a project management capacity for the development and construction of the infrastructure work surrounding the new Yankee Stadium.
The project includes construction of four new garages, a Metro North rail station, a ferry terminal on the Harlem River, utility infrastructure upgrades on the areas roads and new parkland surrounding the stadium and on the site of the former Yankee Stadium .
As part of the process in maintaining Community Outreach and Awareness, Crescent Consulting provided the following services for the overall implementation of concurrent and adjacent large construction projects in this dense urban environment; Coordination with Elected Officials and Community Liaison Offices, Local Community Interface and Public Outreach. Additionally, Crescent assisted the project team with content development for newsletter and an interactive project website, which provides a secure informational forum for the public and a secure project management site to exchange information.
